Lead Acid Batteries

Donate your car or batteries to grant a wish!

There are many different types of batteries, from the automotive batteries to large forklift batteries all the way down to the little button batteries in our watches. From batteries filled with acid to the rechargeable type, they all have toxic materials in them.

Of course, the most toxic… is Lead!

Sending any type of battery to the landfill or incinerator means the contents of the battery will ultimately end up getting leached into the soil, groundwater or surface water or equally as devastating evaporated into the air we breathe.  Unfortunately traces  eventually find their way into the food chain and fresh water supply. Automotive batteries are one area where close to 90% are recycled,  although that seems like we are doing very well with our recycling efforts,  CCON Metals believes that we can do better!

CCON Metals is a Licensed Waste Battery Transfer Facility and operates within the Dangerous goods handling and Transportation act. Our Customers will be pleased to know that all our Drivers are fully insured, bonded and Experienced in the handling and Transportation of all Lead acid Batteries.

Mission Statement

We believe that unparalleled customer service, honesty and integrity coupled with consistent strong market pricing will help increase that total number of lead acid batteries recycled to well above the 90% mark.

We believe that this will help improve quality of the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat, one battery at a time.
